About the Role

Holt of California is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Territory Sales Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for selling construction rental equipment and services to current customers and potential customers in the Merced, CA area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop business relationships with customers to generate rental volume.
  • Pursue all sales leads through advertising, dodge reports, telemarketing, job listings, customer references, and other sources.
  • Organize territory and account base to provide adequate sales coverage.
  • Utilize territory management and daily planner to plan calls and track results.
  • Log all subcontractors' information using jobsite forms.
  • Develop new accounts monthly.
  • Provide new or prospective customers with credit applications and promotional materials.
  • Visit key office contacts within the territory a minimum of twice per month.
  • Cover jobsites, including all subcontractors and general contractors.
  • Telemarketing job leads before starts, pre-selling, and identifying key people on site.
  • Participate in all sales meetings.
  • Verify orders and invoice accuracy with Sales Rental Coordinators.
  • Utilize computer information to assist sales efforts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • Regularly required to sit and talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment

Employee will regularly work near moving mechanical parts and occasionally work in outside weather conditions and exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
