Job Summary

The HVAC Operations Supervisor will oversee front-line employees to ensure efficiency and quality in production operations. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to analyze data to identify areas for improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hiring and Training: Hire and train front-line employees to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Scheduling and Work Organization: Organize and direct the schedules and work of front-line employees to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Performance Evaluations: Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations to employees to help them improve their performance.
  • Discipline and Termination: Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other managers and supervisors to coordinate activities in and among departments.
  • Data Analysis: Collect, evaluate, analyze, and assess production data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Quality Control: Regularly inspect and evaluate products for quality and defects.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and correct problems and inefficiencies in process, materials, equipment, or skills.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and best practices, including those related to safety and health.
  • Procedure Development: Develop and implement procedures and strategies to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Budgeting: Collaborate with other departmental managers to develop and execute budget.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and Skills: Well-rounded knowledge of Residential Electrical & AC Operations, ability to read blueprints and schematics, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Education and Experience: Associate degree in a related field or equivalent industry work experience required; Bachelor's degree in Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of standing and walking through the factory, prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on computers, and ability to lift 25 pounds at times.
