Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Control Systems Designer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and reviewing control systems design work, producing drawings and documentation, and preparing design estimates for projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, develop, and review control systems design work, including producing drawings and documentation, and preparing design estimates for projects.
  • Coordinate with clients, facilitate technical discussions, and review and approve drawings, calculations, and bid summaries.
  • Solve complex technical issues and ensure control systems designs comply with all regulations and standards.
  • Organize and direct the implementation of on-the-job training of assigned personnel, conduct annual performance reviews, and hold career development discussions.
  • Establish and maintain communication with project engineers, engineering supervisors, and administrative personnel within the project, and consult with equipment suppliers, technical specialists, and client representatives as directed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a job-related engineering or scientific discipline or specialized courses in drafting, design, and engineering practices, and CAD.
  • Extensive experience in design and drafting, and experience in personnel administration.
  • Broad knowledge of design and drafting techniques, engineering drawings, graphic arts, reading of drawings, and reproduction methods used by the discipline.
  • Knowledge of industry and regulatory standards, design criteria, and codes relevant to the discipline.
  • Broad knowledge of 2-D and 3-D computer-aided drafting (CAD) tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Specific experience in planning and executing greenfield or brownfield projects in one or more of the following market segments: natural gas processing, coal, gas, or biomass to chemicals, petrochemicals, carbon capture and sequestration, and hydrogen value chain.
  • Demonstrated experience reviewing Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and proficiency in SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI), Microstation, SmartSketch, and S3D.
