Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer chemotherapy and biological agents to patients in a safe and effective manner.
  • Monitor patient reactions and provide timely interventions to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Develop and implement patient education plans to empower patients and their families with knowledge about treatment options and potential side effects.
  • Collaborate with oncologists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation to ensure seamless communication among healthcare team members.
  • Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during a challenging time.

Requirements:

  • Active RN license in the state of New York.
  • Chemo/Bio Certification is mandatory.
  • OCN certification is highly desirable.
  • At least two years of nursing experience, with oncology experience being highly valued.
  • Strong clinical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
