Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Respite Nurse who thrives in a dynamic environment and possesses a minimum of 3 years of experience working with individuals facing severe and persistent mental health challenges. This role involves providing essential support and medical care to clients, ensuring they understand their health conditions while delivering necessary direct medical interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Educate and consult with clients and staff on health-related topics, medications, and wellness.
- Conduct individualized training sessions tailored to specific health needs.
- Organize and facilitate group sessions focused on health and wellness, including nutrition, exercise, and smoking cessation.
- Assist clients in navigating community resources to enhance their health and wellness.
- Provide oversight and guidance to clients regarding their medical conditions.
- Engage with clients and staff to discuss medical diagnoses, symptoms, and treatment options.
- Administer direct medical care as prescribed by physicians, including vital signs monitoring and wound care.
- Review medical documentation for clients and offer consultation and coordination of care as needed.
- Support clients in achieving their health and wellness goals through targeted interventions.
- Assist in ongoing assessment of symptoms and treatment effectiveness.
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM, with no weekend or holiday shifts.
Compensation:
LPN: $60,000 annually
RN: $74,680 annually
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
Licenses & Certifications:
For LPN: NH Driver's License
For RN: MA Driver's License
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illnesses.
Skills:
- Intermediate proficiency in computer software.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to manage administrative tasks effectively.
- Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
