Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team at Alto Health Care Staffing. As an IR Tech, you will be responsible for providing high-quality images and performing specialized procedures to ensure optimum clarity for physician diagnosis and minimum discomfort and radiation exposure to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate specialized equipment to provide high-quality images and perform sophisticated special procedures.
  • Understand and apply diagnostic radiographic principles, including film/imaging processing, quality control, and radiation protection.
  • Perform a wide range of interventional procedures, including vascular angiograms, biopsies, drainages, tube placements, injections, paracentesis, thoracentesis, thrombectomy, embolization's, endovascular procedures, central lines, and dialysis catheters.
  • Work to minimize the risk and duration of recovery to patients, imitating life support measures as necessary.
  • Develop an understanding of the patient's physical and emotional status, while practicing sensitivity and patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Work well with all age groups and possess an extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, disease processes, and medical terminology.
  • Be familiar with operative terms and pharmacology, as well as knowledge of billing and coding of procedures.
  • Ability to adapt and facilitate change, and perform on a level not requiring constant supervision.
Requirements
  • Trained in an Interventional Radiology Setting and practiced as IR tech for a minimum of 1 year.
  • Required skills and minimum years of experience.
  • Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required, including BLS, ARRT, and NDMIRT.
  • Shift or schedule requirements, including 10 hour or 8 hour shifts, starting from, with call.
  • Floating to over units/departments, with no, but will cover both hospitals.
