Associate Head Athletic Trainer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Athletic Trainer to join our team at the University of Southern Maine's Athletic Department. This is a full-time, ongoing 11-month position (August through June, July off), located primarily on the Gorham campus, with an annual salary of $58,500 plus a 10% contribution to the UMS retirement plan. Some travel is required.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as a member of the athletic healthcare team for intercollegiate student-athletes.
- Provide prevention, clinical evaluation, and diagnosis; immediate and emergency care, treatment, rehabilitation, and reconditioning.
- Support the Head Athletic Trainer in the administration of athletics healthcare as per the NCAA.
- Collaborate with a team of four athletic trainers, two team physicians, two physical therapists, a dentist, and a mental performance coach.
- Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training from a CAATE-accredited program.
- Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in Athletic Training.
- Ability to maintain a preceptor role in Athletic Training Education.
- BOC certification.
- State of Maine Athletic Training license.
- Emergency Cardiac Care Certification.
- Eligibility for American Red Cross First Aid, CPR, and AED Instructor Certification.
