Responsibilities:

  • Perform psychiatric evaluations of inmates.
  • Review lab and diagnostic test results.
  • Prescribe treatment and follow-up plans for mental health issues.
  • Document results in inmate medical records.
  • Participate in studies of health problems affecting inmates and provide recommendations.
  • Obtain informed consent for psychotropic medications.
  • Provide psychiatric information to the treatment team.
  • Provide psychiatric treatment in compliance with standards and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
