Registered Nurse ICU Clinical Coordinator

Job SummaryThe Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) plays a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care in the ICU. This position is responsible for coordinating the care of patients, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, and promoting a culture of excellence and safety.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient care.
- Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
- Current RN licensure in Texas or compact state.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
- CCRN, NPR, and TNCC certifications preferred.
- Minimum College: Associate Degree, Diploma in Nursing, or BSN.
- 1-2 years of critical care experience preferred.
- Reads and writes Basic English with the basic skills necessary to transfer physician's orders.
- Knowledge of body substance isolation.
- Ability to listen, empathize, and respond to patient, family, internal, and external partners' needs.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
