Per Diem Respiratory Therapist Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a member of our Respiratory Therapy Center, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients.

Job Summary: This position involves assessing, administering, monitoring, and providing therapy for respiratory care procedures. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, manual dexterity, and experience in all age-specific competency groups.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients' respiratory status and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Administer oxygen therapy, medication, and other treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust treatment plans accordingly
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with healthcare teams

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a CoARC accredited respiratory care program for registered respiratory therapists
  • Active New Mexico Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license and NBRC's RRT credential
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association, with ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications preferred
  • Manual dexterity to operate equipment and perform respiratory therapy
