About the Role
Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Respiratory Care Professional to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality respiratory care services to patients in various settings.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop patient care plans and implement therapeutic interventions.
- Select, assemble, and check equipment for proper function, operation, and cleanliness, ensuring that it is ready for use at all times.
- Operate medical equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and department policies, using your knowledge to safely treat patients.
- Monitor patients' physiological responses to therapy, recognizing any adverse reactions and adjusting or stopping treatment as needed.
- Document all required information in the medical record, adhering to departmental policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field and certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Current licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state where Kaiser Permanente operates.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital setting, preferably in critical care or pediatrics.
