Outpatient Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our outpatient Internal Medicine team at a Critical Access Hospital. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a serene environment, located two hours north of Bangor, Maine, providing a balanced work-life schedule.
Key Features of the Role:
- Work Schedule: Enjoy a four-day work week, Tuesday to Friday, from 7 AM to 5 PM, with no on-call responsibilities.
- Clinical Environment: The clinic is conveniently attached to the hospital, allowing easy access for patients requiring various services such as labs, radiologic studies, EKGs, and respiratory treatments.
- Team Structure: Collaborate with a team consisting of one physician and three other PA/NP professionals in a supportive outpatient setting.
- Patient Care: Focus primarily on geriatric patients with chronic conditions including diabetes, hypertension, thyroid disorders, CHF, and COPD. You will manage annual exams, follow-ups, and acute visits.
- Patient Load: The expected patient volume is approximately 16 patients per day, with opportunities for bonuses based on additional patient care.
- Technology: Utilize Meditech Expanse as the electronic medical record system, ensuring efficient patient management.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner.
- National Certification and a valid Maine State Medical License.
- Demonstrated interest and experience in Internal Medicine through relevant coursework, preceptorships, and practical experience.
- Comfort in managing treatment plans for patients with chronic illnesses.
- Interest in rural medicine and a commitment to serving the northern Maine community.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary: Competitive salary range of $120,000 to $140,000, negotiable based on experience.
