Job Summary
Merrimack College is seeking a highly qualified adjunct faculty member to teach an undergraduate course in Exercise Physiology. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, assessing student learning, and contributing to the development of the Exercise Science program.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach a 4-credit undergraduate course in Exercise Physiology, emphasizing cardiovascular, respiratory, and metabolic physiology, responses to acute exercise, and exercise training adaptations.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, assessments, and evaluations to promote student learning and success.
- Provide individualized support and feedback to students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum, assessments, and program evaluations.
- Participate in departmental and college-wide initiatives to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Exercise Physiology or related field; Ph.D. preferred. Strong teaching and communication skills, with experience in developing and delivering curriculum. Ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators. Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with experience in promoting a culture of inclusivity.
