Job Summary

The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist will be responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals. This will involve preparing radioactive isotopes for administration to patients in accordance with physicians' orders, administering and recording dosages, and performing diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare radioactive isotopes for administration to patients in accordance with physicians' orders
  • Administer and record dosages of radiopharmaceuticals
  • Perform diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras
  • Position patients and adjust immobilization devices
  • Compassionately explain procedures to patients and address concerns
  • Monitor, record, and communicate utilizing computerized documentation
  • Assist with transporting patients
Qualifications

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a graduate degree in Nuclear Medicine, AART (NM) and/or CNMT Certification, and current American Heart Association Certification in Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association. You must also be able to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
