This is a highly rewarding position that requires a skilled and compassionate nurse to prioritize and coordinate direct and indirect patient care in a fast-paced environment.




  • The ideal candidate will perform the nursing process independently, utilizing their expertise to assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care in accordance with our established Professional Practice Model.
  • They will meet qualifications, licensure, certifications, and competencies as defined in our unit/department-specific Plan for Providing Care.
  • This Nurse Practitioner - Patient Care Specialist will function in a skills-mix environment, supervising and delegating tasks to a team of licensed and unlicensed staff.
  • They will apply theoretical concepts to clinical practice, exhibit self-motivation to expand their knowledge base and clinical skills, and inspire the transformation of evidence into bedside practice to optimize patient outcomes.
  • This accomplished professional nurse will function within our expectations, meeting nursing excellence standards to achieve Magnet Recognition.
  • They will represent nursing as an empowered profession, embracing new knowledge, innovations, and improvements while providing a positive influence to facilitate change and optimize patient satisfaction and outcomes.
  • In addition to these responsibilities, this Nurse Practitioner - Patient Care Specialist may be required to participate in on-call rotations and serve in Shift Coordinator roles upon completion of orientation.
  • Other duties as needed will also be assigned.


Key Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess:




  • A Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution
  • A minimum of two years' experience in a related field
  • An active California Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Other certifications as listed in the department-specific Plan for Providing Care

$120,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on experience
