About the Role: As a Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, you will practice in collaboration with supervising physicians and perform overlapping medical/surgical procedures for specialty populations of patients with critical acuity. Your expertise will be utilized to provide age-specific and developmentally appropriate medical management and coordination of patient care, consistent with your educational preparation and according to designated standardized procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct complete physical examinations, including ordering, interpreting, and evaluating diagnostic tests and examinations
  • Document subjective and objective data and care in the electronic medical record according to established policies and procedures
  • Keep patients, families, and caregivers informed regarding plan of care, including hospital course, post-operative plan of care, expected outcomes, and follow-up care
  • Serve as a preceptor for students and facilitate a meaningful learning experience
  • Demonstrate a commitment to excellence and exceed customer expectations by modeling behavior in the context of institutional values and the empowerment of professional governance of nursing practice

Requirements:

  • Master of Science Degree in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) and completion of NP curriculum required
  • Minimum three years of experience as a registered nurse in an acute care setting or in a sub-specialty clinic environment required
  • Minimum one year of experience in area of NP specialty preferred
  • Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license and California Nurse Practitioner Certificate required
  • National certification required if hired after February 2021

Compensation and Benefits: The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
