Job Description

Overview

We are seeking experienced Geotechnical Drillers to join our team at GeoStabilization International. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating rock drills and other heavy equipment to stabilize soil and mitigate geohazards. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong work ethic and ability to work in a variety of climates.

Responsibilities

  • Operate rock drills and other heavy equipment to stabilize soil and mitigate geohazards
  • Read and interpret measurements to ensure accurate drilling and grouting
  • Maintain a clean and organized construction site
  • Work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals
  • Mix, spray, and operate shotcrete or grouting pumps

Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience in soil stabilization or geohazard mitigation
  • Heavy equipment operation experience
  • Prior concrete or shotcrete experience
  • Drilling experience
  • Ability to travel extensively
  • Reliability and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to get along with a diverse group of people

Work Environment

  • Climates vary in degrees, in tropical to desert environments.
  • The noise level in the work environment is moderate and hearing protection is often required.
  • Exposure to characteristic construction site dangers.
  • Regular heavy lifting (75lbs+) of construction materials on the job site.

Travel and Compensation

100% travelling in the Western US (West of the Mississippi River). Employees are expected to work a 3 weeks on, 1 week off schedule. Compensation: $23-$27 per hour. In 2023, with overtime our employees in this job made the equivalent of nearly $34/hr.
