Position Overview

InGenesis is looking for a Physician Assistant to collaborate with our esteemed client. In this capacity, you will deliver essential medical services to patients through comprehensive examinations, assessments, diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up consultations, while also coordinating referrals for specialized services, laboratory tests, and other necessary evaluations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, evaluate, and address health promotion and disease prevention matters for patients while ensuring high-quality care.
  • Inform patients and their families about preventive health measures, medical conditions, diagnoses, and the proper use of prescribed treatments and medications.
  • Facilitate patient referrals for specialized services, laboratory work, and additional tests as required.
  • Maintain clear, precise, and confidential medical documentation.
  • Engage in both independent and collaborative relationships with medical staff, allowing for consultation, teamwork, or referral as needed.
  • Adapt to a flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends when necessary.

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid Physician Assistant License.
  • Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
  • Current Basic Life Support Certification (CPR).

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Active California Physician Assistant license.
  • State Office of Family Planning Certificate, applicable if engaged in family planning services.
  • Current Basic Life Support Certification (CPR).
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal background check.
  • Access to reliable transportation is essential.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to respond to medical emergencies, which may require fast walking or jogging to provide assistance.
  • Capability to perform CPR or emergency care while standing or kneeling.
  • Ability to assist patients who are sick, injured, or elderly in exiting the premises during emergencies, which may involve lifting or carrying individuals who exceed your own weight.
  • Must possess the ability to see, hear, and smell, with or without assistive devices as necessary (exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis).
  • Ability to alternate between kneeling and standing as required (exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis).
  • Must be able to lift, push, and carry up to 30 pounds.
  • Capable of standing on hard surfaces for extended periods.
  • Frequently required to operate a computer and manage written documentation.

This position is contingent upon contract award.
