Respiratory Care Practitioner Transport Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner Transport to join our team at Methodist Children's Hospital. As a critical care respiratory therapist, you will be responsible for providing advanced respiratory care to critically ill patients in a transport environment.
Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive patient assessments to determine predictable and potential needs of patients in complex situations.
- Provide care for complex patients, correlating clinical data with diagnosis and symptoms to initiate appropriate therapy.
- Identify expected outcomes individualized to the patient and make judgments in conjunction with the TRN to recognize need to change plan of care based on patient outcome.
- Develop and implement plans of care in collaboration with the patient, significant others, and healthcare team members.
- Anticipate impending crisis and initiate early intervention to prevent problems or complications.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
- State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
- Associate Degree in Respiratory Care Practitioner program.
- Two (2) years of direct care respiratory care practitioner experience in a specialized critical care area (NICU, PICU, Emergency Department).
