Exelon is a leading energy company that powers a cleaner, brighter future. We're seeking a highly skilled Lead Engineer to join our team and play a key role in shaping the future of energy.

About the Role

This position will lead and develop projects related to the planning, design, and maintenance of energy facilities and systems. As a Lead Engineer, you'll provide technical expertise, guide teams, and participate in departmental planning to ensure the safety and satisfaction of customers.

The successful candidate will have extensive engineering experience and a commitment to professional development and mentorship. You'll be responsible for leading multi-discipline teams, providing direct oversight of contractors, and serving as an expert in specialized areas.

We're looking for someone with strong written and oral communication skills, who can analyze complex electrical and mechanical systems and apply advanced engineering principles to identify and resolve complex issues.

Responsibilities
  • Leads and performs assignments in specialized areas requiring extensive engineering expertise.
  • Leads and performs engineering tasks and projects associated with critical or analytical engineering projects or small numbers of complex projects.
  • Evaluates, develops, implements, and leads projects with significant financial and operational impact.
  • Participates in department planning through field/site walkdowns, attends meetings/conference calls, provides budget recommendations, and monitors performance.
  • Serves as an expert in specialized areas and acts as an expert witness or provides expert opinions as required.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • 7+ years of professional engineering experience, with thorough knowledge and experience in unique areas of engineering expertise.
  • Ability to apply advanced engineering principles to identify and resolve complex issues.
Preferred Qualifications

We're interested in candidates with:

  • Graduate degree or graduate-level work in Engineering, Business Administration, or Project Management Certification.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Strong teamwork, interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate with all management levels.

We offer a competitive salary range of $99,200 - $148,800 per year, plus annual bonuses and benefits package.
