Job SummaryAs a Purchasing Specialist, you will oversee procurement activities for our organization. Your responsibilities will include:
- Sourcing new suppliers
- Ensuring purchased products and materials meet technical specifications
- Negotiating purchase terms
- Evaluating supplier performance
- Ensuring timely deliveries and resolving supply issues
- Prepare and process sales and purchase orders in line with company policies.
- Research, select, and procure quality products and materials.
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating optimal pricing.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure stock is maintained appropriately.
- Plan and manage logistics for delivery schedules and inventory levels.
- Develop and maintain a list of suppliers, including their qualifications and delivery times.
- Act as the point of contact for vendors, freight handlers, customers, and internal sales departments regarding purchasing matters.
- Assist Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams with billing inquiries.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Previous experience in customer service, purchase orders, and vendor drop shipments preferred.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and time management skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
