Job Summary

As a Purchasing Specialist, you will oversee procurement activities for our organization. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Sourcing new suppliers
  • Ensuring purchased products and materials meet technical specifications
  • Negotiating purchase terms
  • Evaluating supplier performance
  • Ensuring timely deliveries and resolving supply issues
Duties & Functions
  • Prepare and process sales and purchase orders in line with company policies.
  • Research, select, and procure quality products and materials.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating optimal pricing.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure stock is maintained appropriately.
  • Plan and manage logistics for delivery schedules and inventory levels.
  • Develop and maintain a list of suppliers, including their qualifications and delivery times.
  • Act as the point of contact for vendors, freight handlers, customers, and internal sales departments regarding purchasing matters.
  • Assist Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams with billing inquiries.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Standards

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Previous experience in customer service, purchase orders, and vendor drop shipments preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and time management skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
