Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Paramedic to join our team at MercyOne Northeast Iowa. As a Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing advanced patient care and responding to emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to gather data relevant to each patient's needs.
  • Identify patient care needs and follow established protocols.
  • Evaluate the outcome of treatment and revise the plan as needed.
  • Communicate relevant patient information to healthcare teams.
  • Transport patients to hospitals or other destinations, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Perform vehicle maintenance and ensure all equipment is in good working order.
  • Assist in audits and other clinical areas as needed.
  • Participate in public relations and educational activities.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an Iowa Paramedic Course or National Paramedic Course.
  • Certified Iowa Paramedic or RN Exemption.
  • Valid IA Class C driver's license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
  • BLS provider, ACLS, PALS, Mandatory Reporter.
  • Intermediate language, intermediate math, high reasoning ability.
  • Ability to work with diverse groups of people and convey a positive image.
