Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the design and deployment of automated solutions for infrastructure, operating system, and application-level security guidelines.
  • Perform assessments based on security checklists to guarantee ongoing compliance.
  • Administer and manage Linux-based systems, ensuring peak performance and security standards.
  • Establish security controls and configurations in line with industry best practices.
  • Develop and implement configuration management solutions utilizing SaltStack.
  • Maintain consistency and security across the infrastructure through SaltStack automation.
  • Employ HashiCorp Terraform to define and automate infrastructure deployments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to adopt scalable and maintainable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
  • Implement and manage secrets management solutions using HashiCorp Vault.
  • Ensure secure storage and distribution of sensitive data.
  • Enhance existing infrastructure to integrate the latest technology best practices and facilitate cross-application integrations.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related discipline and 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering with an emphasis on security automation, or a Master's degree with 1-2 years of experience in the same field.
  • Must possess an Active Top Secret clearance and the ability to obtain TS/SCI with CI Poly.
  • Strong expertise in Linux administration with a focus on securing Linux environments.
  • Experience in system integration testing throughout the entire system development life cycle, including the implementation of test plans, cases, and processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in executing security compliance measures using established security guidelines.
  • Hands-on experience with SaltStack for configuration management.
  • Proficiency in HashiCorp Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
  • Familiarity with HashiCorp Vault for managing sensitive information.
  • Strong automation scripting capabilities.
  • Experience working in an Agile project management framework.
  • Experience documenting test outcomes for corrective actions, reporting, and audits.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Enthusiastic team player with the ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Atlassian tools such as JIRA, JIRA Service Desk, and Confluence.
  • Experience with data engineering tools like Kubernetes/Rancher, Cloudera.
  • Experience with Configuration Management and IaC tools such as Salt or Ansible.
  • Experience with scripting languages, CI/CD tools, Elasticsearch, or GitLab.
  • Experience working in isolated environments.
  • Experience in large-scale computing environments (over 1,000 endpoints).
