We are seeking a skilled Radiation Oncology Nurse Specialist to join our team at APN Consulting Inc.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough clinical screenings to determine candidate fit for the role
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure compliance with Piedmont guidelines
- Review and approve candidate applications for final decision
The selected candidate will be required to work a maximum of 7 days per week, with every other weekend shift. No call requirements are expected, but the candidate will be required to work one major holiday if it falls within their assignment period.
Unit Systems and EquipmentThe candidate will be working with EPIC systems and will be required to have experience with SBAR and Pyxis equipment.
Required Skills and Experience- 1 year of experience in a radiation oncology setting
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety precautions and wound care
- Ability to manage ports, central lines, and implanted lines
- Experience with startive IVs, acute tumor lysis syndrome, anaphylaxis, extravasation injury, hemorrhage, sepsis, spinal cord compression, neutropenic precautions, tracheostomy care/management, and external radiation therapy
The selected candidate will be working at a reputable healthcare facility with a strong focus on patient care and safety.
