The Kingsbrook Certified Nursing Assistant provides long-term care nursing and related services to residents, consistent with each resident's comprehensive assessment and plan of care. This role enables residents to attain or maintain the highest practicable level of functioning, while maintaining a homelike environment and protecting resident rights.
Duties and Essential Functions- Provides direct care to residents to improve or maintain their abilities, according to their plan of care.
- Assists with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, mobility, transferring, and feeding.
- Assists with transport of residents to the tub or shower, adjusts water temperature, and maintains privacy.
- Locates, selects, and obtains clothing for residents, assists with snaps, zippers, or buttons, and recognizes clothing in need of repair.
- Promptly assists residents to the bathroom, according to the toileting schedule, and provides catheter care according to facility procedure and infection control policies.
- Assists residents with range of motion exercises, provides weight-bearing assistance or physical support for ambulating, and maintains a safe environment for mobile residents.
- Minimum requirement: High school diploma or GED and completion of an approved State Registered Nursing Assistant/Aide Program.
- Hold current certification as a State Registered Nursing Aide (SRNA) in the State of Kentucky.
- Preferred qualifications: Minimum of three months direct care experience in a healthcare setting.

Physical Demands- Occasionally required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.

- Occasionally required to lift objects of 10 to 25 pounds, and frequently required to lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
