This role involves the assembly of truss components and related tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Stock lumber, plates, and other materials essential for assembly.
2. Band and stack finished products for delivery.
3. Organize truss supplies and materials for efficient component setup.
4. Assemble components under the guidance of line leaders.
5. Load and band completed materials onto carts or pallets.
6. Receive incoming products and materials.
7. Interpret shop drawings to determine plate sizes, gauges, and assembly patterns.
8. Monitor production workflow and assist in various areas as needed.
9. Operate necessary equipment for the assembly process.
10. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a secure work environment.
11. Follow the company's attendance policy to ensure regular attendance.
12. Help maintain an organized workspace, including managing waste and keeping areas tidy.
13. Provide exceptional customer service and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
14. Monitor inventory levels as required by management.
15. Stay aware of the work environment to ensure accuracy and quality in production.
16. Participate in and complete assigned training programs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
Experience:
Previous carpentry experience is advantageous.
Skills:
Ability to read a tape measure and operate basic hand tools.
Willingness to learn to use equipment such as routers, saws, and staple guns.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 100 lbs. occasionally. Exposure to varying temperatures and a noisy environment is expected. Proper safety gear, including ear and eye protection, is mandatory.
