About the Role:
The Toro Company is seeking a skilled Power Equipment Assembler to join our team in Tomah, Wisconsin. As a key member of our assembly team, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality outdoor power equipment for residential and commercial use.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely assemble power equipment to precise specifications, following standard work instructions and procedures.
- Prepare for work by gathering parts, tools, and materials, and perform assembly duties to produce a finished product.
- Fit, position, and fasten components to build machinery using a variety of hand and powered tools, presses, and hoists.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, regulations, and participating in 5 S efforts and initiatives.
- Learn and adapt to various assembly stations, including hanging and prepping parts for powder coat paint, selecting, loading, and unloading parts from containers, testing, running up, and proving the finished product, and packaging and shipping the finished product.
Requirements:
- Ability to perform repetitive motion with hands and arms, standing, crouching, twisting, and lifting for the entire shift.
- Hand-eye coordination and ability to work safely and respectfully with others.
- Consistent attendance and ability to work overtime as necessary.
- Some technical knowledge and ability to follow standard work and procedures.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
