Overview of the Visual Merchandising Lead RoleIn this position, you will assist the management team by executing daily operational routines, overseeing store performance to ensure financial objectives are met, and ensuring that associates deliver exceptional service to our customers.
Your responsibilities will include operational tasks in your designated area to ensure the store meets corporate standards.
Key Responsibilities- Operational Excellence: Manage store opening and closing procedures, register operations, and back-office tasks.
- Ensure that visual presentation, stock replenishment, cleanliness, safety, and back-of-house standards are upheld during your shifts.
- Act as a Selling Captain, demonstrating exemplary sales techniques and customer service, prioritizing the customer experience.
- Utilize training resources to enhance team product knowledge, selling skills, and achieve business objectives.
- Provide coaching and training to associates in sales, product knowledge, and customer engagement.
- Foster a respectful and fair environment for all associates, adhering to our People First Philosophy.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership abilities.
- Proven capability to inspire and influence others through personal example.
- Physical stamina to remain active, including standing, walking, bending, climbing, reaching, and lifting throughout the workday.
- 1-3 years of retail sales experience with supervisory responsibilities preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in home design, visual merchandising, or stockroom duties preferred.
Must be able to navigate the sales floor for extended periods and lift medium to large items, up to 75 lbs., using appropriate equipment and safety measures.
Full-time associates should have flexible availability to meet business needs.
Part-Time Flex associates must be available for a minimum of two scheduled shifts on weekends and two during the week.
