About This Role: We are seeking a skilled Service Plumber to join our team at Southern Home Services LLC. As a Service Plumber, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems, including water, gas, and sewage systems. You will also be responsible for managing the inventory of plumbing supplies and maintaining safety equipment.

Responsibilities:
  • Install and assemble plumbing systems and equipment, including valves, pipe fittings, and pipes.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on water and gas systems, pipes, fittings, and components.
  • Test for leaks using compressed air and/or water to ensure functionality and safety.
  • Manage the inventory of plumbing supplies in the vehicle, including checking stock, placing orders, and verifying receipts.
  • Keep equipment and tools operational by following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures.
  • Maintain safety equipment.
Requirements:
  • A Master Plumbing License is required.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial systems.
  • Technical skills: proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and job specifications.
  • Expertise in installing, maintaining, and repairing water, gas, and sewage systems.
  • Familiarity with local and state plumbing codes and regulations.
  • Experience with various tools and equipment, such as pipe cutters, threaders, and soldering tools.
  • Problem-solving skills: ability to diagnose complex plumbing issues and recommend effective solutions.
  • Communication skills: strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers, team members, and supervisors.
  • Physical fitness: ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials, working in confined spaces, and handling tools for extended periods.
  • Safety-oriented: in-depth knowledge of safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Customer service: proven track record of delivering excellent customer service, with a focus on professionalism and customer satisfaction.
  • Technology skills: basic knowledge of mobile apps and work management software to track tasks and report on job progress.
  • Leadership & teamwork: ability to lead apprentices, work well within a team, and coordinate with other trades on larger projects.
  • Availability: willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and emergency calls, as needed.
  • Driver's license: valid driver's license with a clean driving record and 3 years of driving experience.
Salary:

The estimated salary for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
