Job Summary:

This position requires a Licensed Practical Nurse to work in a team leader role and a VMT role, with 50% of time spent in each role. The successful candidate will administer care that is individualized and consistent with the plan of care and standards of practice. They will demonstrate clinical skills, complete unit-specific skills and competencies, and adjust their work routine to meet changing unit and patient conditions.

The ideal candidate will have one year of post-licensure nursing experience and be eligible to obtain a license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in New York State. They will also have current CPR certification and be able to work on eve/night shifts, including every third weekend and rotating holidays.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer care that is individualized and consistent with the plan of care and standards of practice
  • Demonstrate clinical skills and complete unit-specific skills and competencies
  • Adjust work routine to meet changing unit and patient conditions
  • Foster team building spirit and contribute to plan of care and implementation
  • Maintain a safe working environment and foster positive public relations with patients, families, and staff
Requirements:
  • Eligible to obtain a license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in New York State
  • One year of post-licensure nursing experience preferred
  • Current CPR certification
Work Schedule:

Eve/night shift, Monday-Friday, with every third weekend and rotating holidays
