Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse-PACU provides high-quality patient care and education in the post-anesthesia care unit. This role requires strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to manage individualized care plans and coordinate with the healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in acute care or critical care nursing and be proficient in post-surgical care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and coordinate post-operative care for patients
• Implement and manage individualized care plans
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care
• Provide education to patients and families on post-operative care and recovery
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Three years of acute care or one year of critical care nursing experience
• Current licensure in the State of Florida
• BLS and ACLS certification through the American Heart Association
• PALS certification within six months of employment

Working Conditions:

This role requires working under general supervision, with varying shifts, and may involve working over 40 hours per week and/or being subject to callback as required. The person in this position may also be required to remain on campus immediately before, during, and after severe weather and/or disasters.
