PACU Nurse

The Registered Nurse-PACU provides high-quality patient care and education in the post-anesthesia care unit. This role requires strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Assess and manage individualized patient care plans in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia personnel, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families throughout the postoperative phase.
• Document patient care and progress in a timely and accurate manner.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Three years of acute care experience or one year of critical care experience required.
• Current licensure in the State of Florida.
• BLS and ACLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• PALS certification within six months of employment.
