Responsibilities:

  • Ensure respectful and dignified treatment of all guests.
  • Provide appropriate food and water to guests, maintaining cleanliness of bowls daily.
  • Regularly clean up after pets during shifts.
  • Supervise and engage in play activities with pets, including fetch and agility exercises.
  • Monitor the interactions of multiple dogs, ensuring safety and addressing any conflicts.
  • Maintain a clean and healthy environment by adhering to cleaning protocols.
  • Document and monitor guests' health and behavior during playtimes.
  • Alert management to any health concerns or unusual behaviors in guests.
  • Manage laundry and cleaning of pet belongings.
  • Ensure the facility meets cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Maintain the property, including lawn care and snow removal.
  • Notify management of low inventory levels for pet supplies and cleaning products.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness throughout the property.
  • Stay informed about important notices and consult with other departments as necessary.

A Day in the Role:
As a Pet Recreation Coordinator, you will be an integral part of a team focused on the daily care of our guests. Your primary responsibility will be to provide individual attention and playtime for our boarding and daycare guests while ensuring the safety of all pets in group play settings. You will also oversee the cleanliness of play areas and manage the upkeep of toys and equipment. Monitoring puppy playtimes will be part of your duties, ensuring that all guests are comfortable and safe while enjoying their activities.

In this role, you will not only facilitate enjoyable experiences for the pets but also ensure their safety and well-being. This includes selecting appropriate toys for different play styles and energy levels, adhering to individual guest protocols, and closely monitoring group interactions.

The position offers opportunities for growth within the organization, with potential advancement to other roles as you develop your skills.

Pet Recreation Coordinators typically work during the day, with part-time and full-time positions available.
