Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Logistics Engineer to join our team at DSV. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing efficient logistics processes that drive continuous performance improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and analyze distribution system functionality to optimize performance, including warehouse management, labor management, and reporting applications.
  • Develop and implement standards for labor utilization, analyze contractual commitments, and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive LEAN methodology and recommend solutions to specific business case issues.
  • Establish and track projects utilizing project management tools, and lead/support driving meetings with operations through completion.
  • Develop and provide action items to Project Management that will lead to successful implementation of logistics solutions.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of industrial engineering experience in a supply chain (warehouse/4 walls) or similar environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline.
  • Experience in retail distribution support and/or e-commerce type environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in Industrial Engineering is preferred.
  • Green Belt Six Sigma / Lean Certified.
  • Experience dealing with end users, vendors, and clients.
  • Experience in 3PL environment.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Advanced MS Excel user.
  • Knowledge of computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment such as AutoCAD, MS-Project, and Visio.
  • Knowledge of analytical software/reporting tools, such as PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx, etc.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and process optimization. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The physical demands of this role include standing for up to 8 hours per day, with occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs. The work environment is typically low to moderate noise level, with occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
