As a Flight Software Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of software engineers in the development of complex flight software systems for the GeoXO program. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a talented team of engineers and contribute to the design and execution of a new generation of spacecraft.
Job ResponsibilitiesThis role will involve managing a resource-loaded software design, development, and test plan that supports multiple Artemis missions simultaneously. You will be responsible for providing technical guidance to the design, development, documentation, and testing of a large, complex, FSW product. Additionally, you will ensure the establishment of software processes and adherence to good engineering practices, participate in release planning activities, and manage risk.
Key QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need to have significant embedded or software engineering experience, demonstrated experience as a manager or team lead, and demonstrated software systems engineering, full software life cycle experience, and hardware-software integration capabilities. You will also need to have excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to support moderate travel.
Salary and BenefitsThe annual base salary for this position is $123,500 - $236,800, depending on the location. In addition to a competitive salary, Lockheed Martin offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. This position is also incentive plan eligible.
