Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to menu specifications, following approved recipes and guidelines.
- Station Management: Perform work on different kitchen line stations as needed, ensuring efficient workflow and timely delivery of dishes.
- Quality Control: Maintain a thorough working knowledge of recipes, ingredients, allergens, and food presentation to ensure that food quality, quantity, freshness, and presentation meet our high standards.
- Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain department cleanliness and organization, adhering to safe work and equipment practices, and following all food safety, health, and sanitation standards.
- Inventory Management: Properly store and/or discard leftover food, and ensure that all products and prepared items are properly labeled, dated, initialed, covered, and rotated following FIFO (first in, first out) principles.
- Culinary Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of restaurant experience, with fine dining and high-volume experience required.
- Culinary Skills: Excellent knife skills and proficiency in all aspects of cooking, including various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Teamwork and Communication: Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, and to adapt to changing kitchen demands.
- Physical Demands: Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully, including lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs, standing for prolonged periods, and moving about on foot to accomplish tasks.
The base pay range for this position is $18.00 to $20.00 per hour, depending on prior employment history, job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, etc.
