About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Geologist to join our team at Construction Resources Management. As a Geologist, you will play a critical role in the exploration and evaluation of aggregate resources, ensuring the long-term sustainability of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with our Land Resources Manager and Manufacturing Area Managers to develop strategic plans for aggregate resource utilization and exploration.
  • Evaluate geology and reserves of potential properties, including new greenfield sources and acquisitions.
  • Negotiate and draft leases and purchase contracts with landowners.
  • Test and evaluate potential aggregate site properties to determine quantity and quality of materials.
  • Prepare detailed reports and maps detailing estimated reserves and quality.
  • Identify and coordinate additional testing needed to further evaluate a potential site.
  • Maintain good communication and relationship with landowners and contractors.
  • Prepare evaluation reports for potential property acquisitions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in geology, geological engineering, or comparable experience.
  • Minimum of 2-4+ years of experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel locally and regionally.
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • AUTO CADD, GIS, or other computer design software experience preferred.
  • Self-directed and motivated.
  • Take initiative to identify and anticipate organizational needs and make recommendations for implementation.
