Job Description

As a Food Captain at Circle K, you will be responsible for leading the food service operations in our stores. Your primary goal will be to maximize sales and reduce waste by ensuring that all food operational execution is followed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Train and coach store associates on food execution, production, replenishment, ordering, organization, sanitization, and customer service.
  • Be the go-to person in the store for employees with questions related to food products and services.
  • Plan and execute food sampling for employees and customers.
  • Conduct and lead in-store training for store employees and operation teams on new food service programs.
  • Ensure food service areas are stocked and food is rotated using the FIFO method.
  • Monitor shrink while improving sales to maximize food service profit.
  • Identify, suggest, train, and collaborate with BUQAS training personnel to ensure that food service training programs are delivered.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Education or instructional experience, or equivalent retail training experience.
  • Leading or supervisory experience is desired.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods retail and/or food service industry.
  • Experience in training, leadership, team building, collaboration, cooperation, communication, and organization.
  • Food Manager Certification, such as ServSafe or NRFSP.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbally and written. French skills in Quebec Provinces are also required.
  • Customer service-oriented with excellent customer service skills.
  • Consistently delivering within deadlines.
