Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Rutland Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients in various states of health and illness.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate respiratory plans of care for patients
  • Provide direct patient care, instruction, and preparation for continuing care after discharge
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Manage respiratory equipment and perform routine maintenance tasks
  • Administer surfactants to newborns and provide expert-level direct clinical care
Requirements
  • Graduate of an Associate Degree Level CoARC accredited educational program for Respiratory Therapy
  • Prior experience preferred
  • Certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (CRT)
  • RRT Certification preferred or plan in place to acquire
  • Current VT State license
  • BLS Certification through American Heart Association
  • Certification in ACLS, PALS, and NRP must be obtained within 60 days of hire
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of respiratory care assessment and mechanical ventilation management
  • Working knowledge of respiratory equipment
  • Basic EKG interpretation skills
  • Conflict resolution skills
  • Basic Microsoft Windows desktop application and navigation skills
Work Environment

We offer a competitive differential rate of $4.25 - $8.00 per hour, depending on shift. Pay range is $44.61. We require our Respiratory Therapists to be willing and able to be on-call and work off-shifts (nights, weekends, and holidays) and potentially cover shifts on short notice. Must live within 30 minutes of the facility.
