Job Summary

About the Role:

This is a Per Diem As Needed position at Christus Health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate radiologic equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic X-ray images as directed by physicians.
  • Perform routine diagnostic procedures and provide exceptional patient care.
  • Position patients and adjust equipment for taking X-rays, ensuring accurate and safe procedures.
  • Follow established safety protocols when operating radiologic equipment.
  • Maintain accurate radiology records and process routine paperwork.
  • Select optimal radiation exposure settings for individual patients.
  • Examine radiologic images for quality and accuracy.
  • Develop and process radiologic film, delivering it to radiologists for interpretation.
  • Maintain examination rooms and stock necessary medical and radiologic supplies.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a course in radiologic technology approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • One year of experience as a radiologic technologist is preferred.
  • Current state licensure and certification (ARRT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
