Work Schedule:
This is a full-time role with a rotating schedule of 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday. You will receive a detailed schedule in advance, ensuring you are well-prepared for your work hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Accurately measure, mix, count, label, and document medication dosages as per prescription orders.
- Manage the drug distribution system effectively, ensuring the delivery of safe and efficient patient-centered drug therapy.
Qualifications:
- A valid Virginia Pharmacy Technician license is required.
- Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA) as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) is mandatory.
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred, especially in a hospital setting.
