Cyber Warfare Technician Job Description

As a Cyber Warfare Technician in the US Navy, you will play a critical role in protecting our nation's security and interests in the cyber domain. Your duties will include intercepting signals to provide tactical and strategic intelligence, technical guidance, and information to ships and special warfare units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Intercept and analyze signals to provide intelligence and guidance to naval units
  • Develop and implement cyber operations to disrupt and defeat enemy networks
  • Collaborate with other teams to identify and mitigate cyber threats
  • Provide technical guidance and support to naval units on cyber-related matters

Requirements:

  • U.S. citizen
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • 17 years of age or older
  • Normal color perception, sight, speech, and hearing

Work Environment:

Cyber Warfare Technicians work in a variety of environments, including shore commands, ships, and submarines. They may also work with special warfare units and other naval organizations.

Education and Training:

The US Navy offers a range of education and training opportunities for Cyber Warfare Technicians, including the Defense Language School in Monterey, California.
