Job Title: Diesel Mechanic Technician

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team at Aerotek. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing diesel trucks, as well as performing maintenance on engines, brakes, transmissions, and other critical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair diesel trucks, including Freightliner models, and perform maintenance on engines, brakes, transmissions, and other critical systems.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and repair work, including hydraulic and trailer maintenance.
  • Use diagnostic software and scanner tools to identify and repair issues.
  • Perform DOT inspections and document findings.
  • Repair trailers, including wiring brake lights, replacing brakes, changing tires, and repairing hydraulics.
  • Replace water pumps and AC systems.
  • Retrieve and log work orders via iPad.
  • Occasionally weld or use torches.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of diesel experience.
  • Experience working on brakes (certifications required).
  • Hydraulic and trailer maintenance experience.

Work Environment:

  • Clean, organized, non-climate controlled, but fully covered and equipped with fans.
