KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
(90%) Patient MRI Imaging with Guidance
• Conducts patient screenings prior to examinations, ensuring safety and accuracy through the use of two patient identifiers.
• Prepares and educates patients about the imaging procedures, providing reassurance and support throughout the process.
• Executes standard MRI procedures on specified body areas for physician review in diagnosing and treating medical conditions, with minimal supervision and repeat scans.
• Performs advanced MRI techniques under supervision, adjusting scan parameters as necessary.
• Cultivates positive relationships with radiologists, referring physicians, and colleagues.
• Adheres strictly to physician directives and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
• Maintains accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
• Keeps the workspace organized and hygienic, promoting safety for patients and coworkers.
• Upholds ACR toolkit and accreditation standards.
• Ensures all equipment is well-maintained and sanitized after each use.
• Complies with all HIPAA regulations.
(5%) MRI Department Support
• Aids in updating imaging protocol manuals and implementing software upgrades.
• Monitors and manages medical supply inventory, requesting additional supplies as needed.
(5%) Performs other assigned duties as necessary.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Understanding and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and safety protocols.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and cross-sectional anatomy.
  • Awareness of ALARA principles as applicable.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and follow through on assignments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced setting and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility in scheduling and responsiveness to change.
