Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Aerospace Design Engineer to join our team at The Structures Company. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for evaluating F-16 retrofit and production engineering designs, including 3D models and drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate design compatibility errors and ensure all features are accurate and meet contractual, company, and program requirements.
  • Identify and resolve design issues, ensuring compliance with ASME Y14.5 and ASME Y14.100 Engineering Drawing Practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement design solutions.
  • Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) systems, including CATIA, to create and modify designs.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and engineering change notices.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in CATIA and ASME Y14.100 and Y14.5 GD&T.
  • Experience in drawing/model checking, design, and engineering change processes.
  • Ability to thrive in a model-centric environment and proficiency with PC operations and MS Office Suite.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aeronautical, Chemical, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
