Job Summary:

As an Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer at Axelon, you will be responsible for interrogating, analyzing, and interpreting various engineering drawings, models, and technical specifications to perform assigned work. You will provide MCAD operational models and 2D drawings for manufacturing process planning sequences, as well as develop and maintain tooling and fixture definitions for manufacturing operations. Additionally, you will execute creation and maintenance of CAM programs and operator instructions for Numerical Controlled equipment. You will work closely with internal and external customers to communicate and interact effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of NC programming, loft, engineering, tool design, manufacturing, and planning processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Interrogate, analyze, and interpret various engineering drawings, models, and technical specifications to perform assigned work.
Provide MCAD operational models and 2D drawings for manufacturing process planning sequences.
Develop and maintain tooling and fixture definitions for manufacturing operations.
Execute creation and maintenance of CAM programs and operator instructions for Numerical Controlled equipment.
Work closely with internal and external customers to communicate and interact effectively.
Maintain records and schedules of work assigned.
Meet established company cost control standards, schedule, and quality requirements to maintain market competitiveness.
Provide technical assistance to procurement and suppliers as determined by management.
Execute strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to communicate and interact between internal and external customers.
Apply extensive aircraft manufacturing knowledge and be prepared to train, direct, instruct, mentor, and check/validate Production Engineering work.
Required to attend training and complete competency-based testing as required by management to remain current with technological advancements.

Qualifications:

Skilled in the concept related to the application of GD&T/Aerospace tolerances.
Four (4) years college or eight (8) years of experience in the aircraft industry.
Demonstrated capability to adequately perform the essential functions and responsibilities related to the application of GD&T/Aerospace tolerances.
