Job Summary:

  • A Dish Attendant is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of all restaurant dishes, silverware, and glasses, as well as pots and pans.

Responsibilities:

  1. Cleaning and sanitizing dishes, utensils, and equipment
  2. Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment
  3. Assisting with kitchen setup and preparation prior to service and at the end of the shift
  4. Ensuring the availability of cleaned and sanitized items for use in service
  5. Collaborating with service staff to anticipate their needs
  6. Preparing ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food
  7. Setting up and stocking the kitchen
  8. Moving, lifting, and carrying objects safely

Requirements:

  • The ability to work varied shifts, including weekends, holidays, and special events
  • Safe handling of dishware and kitchen equipment
  • Operational knowledge of kitchen equipment
  • Clear understanding of English language: reading, writing, and verbal communication
  • Physical ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • Dining room service procedures and kitchen functions knowledge
  • Experience working in hotel or restaurant establishment (desired)
