Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Program Analyst to join our team at the Department of the Treasury. As a Senior Program Analyst, you will play a critical role in analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of tax policies and programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement analytical studies and projects to assess the effectiveness of tax policies and programs.
  • Analyze data and trends to identify areas for improvement and develop recommendations for policy changes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement policy initiatives.
  • Provide expert analysis and advice to senior leadership on tax policy matters.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including Congress, the public, and other government agencies.
Requirements
  • One year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service.
  • Experience with administrative laws, policies, regulations, and precedents in administering the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC).
  • Experience leading major project assignments in EITC that requires a wide range of analytical and evaluative methods and techniques.
  • Experience with project management principles and processes in managing EITC projects and programs.
  • Experience with oral and written communication techniques to present findings and negotiate solutions.
Education

A copy of your transcripts or equivalent documentation is required for positions with an education requirement.

Additional Information

This is a bargaining unit position. The salary range indicated in this announcement reflects the minimum locality pay up to maximum locality pay for all duty locations listed. The range will be adjusted for selected duty location.
