Role Summary:
We are currently seeking a Cybersecurity Compliance Specialist to join our team. This role is critical in supporting classified computing environments and ensuring compliance with various security standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and monitor system compliance, conduct audits, and develop security plans while providing education and awareness on information systems security.
- Investigate security incidents and prepare detailed reports outlining corrective and preventive measures.
- Review and authorize configuration management requests within designated authority.
- Perform both technical and administrative assessments to enhance security posture.
- Integrate new cybersecurity processes, tools, and procedures to strengthen our security framework.
- Assist in the creation, review, and updating of cybersecurity documentation and technical writing.
Important Notes:
Within six months of employment, candidates must obtain and maintain a relevant security certification equivalent to IAM Level I (e.g., Security+).
Required Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree with five years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with three years of relevant experience.
Relevant Experience Includes:
- Cybersecurity, systems security, or hardening.
- Information Technology.
- Compliance auditing using frameworks such as RMF, DAAPM, JSIG, and NISPOM.
- Experience with computer technologies, including databases, operating systems, and network hardware.
- Background in physical security, investigations, or law enforcement.
- Project or program management experience.
- Active U.S. government issued security clearance is mandatory prior to starting the role.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in DoD classified environments.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity tools for vulnerability analysis and mitigation.
- Knowledge of government directives and compliance standards.
- Experience in executing Assessment & Authorization processes.
- Technical security consultation experience in complex classified environments.
- Understanding of large multi-facility networks, including Windows and Linux systems.
- Experience with DISA STIGs and cyber incident response management.
