Job Title: Kingsley Plant Weave Machine Warp Out Cleaning Support Specialist

Reporting To: Production Manager or PI overseeing Weave Support Operators

About the Position

Become a vital member of the Milliken Kingsley Plant, an advanced air-jet weaving facility located in Thomson, Georgia. This cutting-edge plant specializes in the production of fabrics for a wide range of end products, including duct tape, medical tape, uniforms, military gear, home furnishings, and industrial materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly cleaning the entire machine while utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including a respirator during blow-off procedures.
  • Executing doffs, sweeping waste from the floor, and managing filling yarn allocation.
  • Supporting the team with daily tasks and upholding general cleanliness in the work area.
  • Ensuring the maintenance of equipment and adhering to management directives.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old and capable of working independently.
  • Consistent attendance, mobility throughout the workspace, familiarity with weave room operations, and completion of daily maintenance tasks are essential.
  • Strong communication skills, the ability to follow instructions precisely, and basic record-keeping capabilities are required.
  • Experience in operating machinery and tools such as air-jet weave machines, doff trucks, and filling carts is necessary.

Shift Information

The shift schedule is flexible based on operational requirements, including weekends and holidays, and follows a rotating shift pattern:

  • 1st Shift: 8 AM - 4 PM
  • 2nd Shift: 4 PM - Midnight
  • 3rd Shift: Midnight - 8 AM

Compensation Details

  • This Support Specialist role involves collaboration with a third-party staffing agency for a minimum of 90 days before potential direct placement at Milliken. Eligible candidates may receive up to a $1000 Sign-On/Retention Bonus.
